AUTHOR'S....P.O.V
Rashita sat silently in her room, her eyes fixed on the footsteps approaching her door.
As the knock sounded, Rashita stood up and opened the door. Ram, her junior assistant, stood before her.
"Mam, it's been almost a month since you've been absent from the office. Everyone thought you'd left the job. Your father hasn't mentioned you either," he said.
Rashita, who had always been like an elder sister to Ram, taught him with a gentle tone.
However, her eyes welled up with tears as she was about to say something. Suddenly, a voice echoed from within the house,
"Rashita kahi nahi jaygi or na koi job kargi to tum waha se ja sakta ho!"
(Rashita won't go anywhere, and she won't do that job. You can leave if you want to.)
Rashita's heart shattered into a million pieces.
This job was her dream, and no one had the right to dictate her choices or restrict her freedom.
Tears streaming down her face, she locked the door.
Memories of the moment she and Raiya became best friends and made promises to each other flooded her mind.
Ram called out her name and knocked on the door again. Ten minutes passed before Rashita finally opened the door.
"Ram, I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier. Please come in," Rashita said, trying to compose herself.
Ram looked concerned, "Mam, is everything okay? You seem upset."
Rashita took a deep breath and said, "It's just a personal matter, Ram. Let's talk about work. What brings you here?"
Ram hesitated, "Mam, the project deadline is approaching, and we're facing some issues. We need your guidance to move forward."
Rashita nodded, wiping away her tears. "It's alright but my father, fire me from the office so I have to find a job but I promise I will help you with this project."
As Ram nodded and left , Rashita's mind wandered back to the voice that had shattered her dreams.
She knew she had to find a way to stand up for herself and her choices.
She stood up, wiped her tears, and stepped downstairs.
Everyone was present at the dining table, having their dinner.
She looked at them and said, "Kal se hum office jayenge, mujhe new job offer mila hai!"
(I'll join the office tomorrow, I've got a new job offer!)
Rashita's announcement was met with stunned silence.
Sunita's words hung in the air, "thumari himat Kasi hui?tum is ghar ki bahu nhi ho jo tumhe Rani bana ke rakha jay. Bus mera beta ke sath naam jura ha isliye waha ho! Bus 6 months uske baad divorce."
(How dare you? You're not a daughter-in-law of this house, not a princess to be pampered. But since you're tied to my son, we can't just let you go. And we still have 6 months before the divorce.)
Rashita's eyes narrowed, her voice firm.
"Hum puch nahi Raha bata rahe ha Aunty!"
(I'm telling you, Aunty, not asking. I'll join the office tomorrow.)
Sunita's face turned red with rage, "tumne kya socha ! Tumne bhout himat aa gai hai !" (You think you're so brave now!)
She raised her hand to slap Rashita, but Rashita caught her wrist.
"Sochiyga bhi mat ! Hum aapki Bahu nahi, ab tak bus isliye ye sub sah raha the ku ki mujha laga aapke sath galat hua ha lakin ab or nahi"
(Don't even think about it! I'm not your daughter-in-law, I've tolerated this for so long because I thought you'd been wronged, but not anymore. Don't you dare touch me!)
Rashita threw Sunita's hand away and turned to go upstairs.
Just as Rashita was about to go upstairs, a voice stopped her - "Rashita!!" It was Nirved, who had just walked in and caught a glimpse of the tense scene.
Nirved's voice was laced with anger as he said, "How could you behave like this with my mother?" Sunita quickly grasped Nirved's hand, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Isne mujhpe hath uthya!"
(She raised her hand on me!)
she exclaimed, her voice trembling.
Rashita's eyes filled with tears as she protested, "She's lying!" But Nirved cut her off, his anger boiling over.
"Get out of this house right now!"
The words hung in the air, and Rashita felt her world crumbling.
She had expected Nirved to stand up for her, to support her, but instead, he was siding with his mother.
The pain and betrayal were evident on her face as she turned to leave, her heart heavy with sorrow.
As Rashita walked out of the house, she felt a sense of uncertainty.
Where would she go? What would she do? The questions swirled in her mind, but she knew she had to take a stand.
She couldn't stay in a place where she wasn't valued or respected.
Nirved's anger seemed to dissipate as he watched Rashita leave.
Sunita's tears had subsided, replaced by a look of triumph.
"Thank you Nirved,Mera sath dena ke liye!"
(Nirved, thank you for understanding,)
she said, her voice sweet with gratitude.
But Nirved's expression was unreadable. He turned and walked away, leaving Sunita wondering.
Everyone went to theirs room.
Nirved stood by the window, his voice low and firm as he spoke on the phone. "You'll have to move on now and handle everything yourself."
As the scene shifted,
Rashita walked alone on the deserted street, her eyes brimming with tears and her hands clutching carry bags.
The darkness of the night seemed to mirror her hopelessness.
It was midnight, and she desperately needed a place to take shelter.
She had walked a considerable distance away from Anand Mansion, the familiarity of her home now replaced by the uncertainty of the night.
The streets were empty and silent, save for the sound of her footsteps echoing off the buildings.
Rashita's heart felt heavy with sorrow and fear, her mind racing with thoughts of what the future held.
Just as she was starting to lose hope, a car suddenly pulled up beside her, and a gentle voice called out... "Beta tum waha akla kya kar Rahi ho?" old men asked from the car.
Rashita hesitates but replies " mai ghar dhund rahi hu!"
The old man's eyes filled with concern as he heard Rashita's words.
"Beti, aao car me baitho, main tumhe apne apartment le chlta hu waha bhout Sara flats kahi hai tum waha rah sakti ho." he said gently.
(Daughter, come sit in the car, I'll take you to my appartment, where so many flats are empty, you can live!")
Rashita hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should trust this stranger. But the old man said "tum rent de Dena !"
His kind face and warm smile put her at ease.
She nodded, and he helped her get into the car.
As they drove, Rashita told him about her situation, and the old man listened attentively.
He nodded sympathetically and said, "Tum waha ki phali renter ho! Wo building ek bhout bara business men ki ha wo India Mai nahi ratha!"
(You are the first renter of that building, that building is belongs to a famous business men. He is not living in India!)
Rashita's eyes welled up with tears again, grateful for this stranger's kindness.
She nodded, and the old man drove her to his house, a big luxury building.
As they entered the House, the old man said "Beti, jao, rest karo, hum kal subah baat karte hain," he said.
(Daughter, go and rest, we'll talk in the morning.)
Rashita smiled weakly, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.
For the first time in hours, she felt safe.
Rashita's style was understated yet elegant, often opting for simple attire with a touch of tradition - a small amount of sindoor on her forehead.
After locking the door, Rashita went to freshen up.
Feeling refreshed, she returned to the bedroom, thinking she needed to tidy up.
However, as she looked around, she noticed that the house was spotless - every item was in its place, and there wasn't a speck of dust in sight.
Rashita felt a sense of gratitude towards his hosts for providing such a clean and comfortable environment.
Without needing to do any cleaning, Rashita settled into bed, feeling grateful and relaxed.
She drifted off to sleep, her exhaustion finally catching up with her.
The New Day,
The warm sunlight streaming through the window gently woke Rashita up at 6 am.
She stretched, feeling a sense of hope and renewal.
A new day had begun, and she felt a spark of optimism.
After a good night's sleep, she was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
She got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a refreshing bath.
The cool water washed away the remnants of her exhaustion, leaving her feeling invigorated and refreshed.
As she bathed, she felt her mind clear, and her thoughts became more focused. She was determined to make the most of this new day and start fresh.
After her bath, Rashita dressed in a formal suit, adding a small amount of sindoor to her forehead, a habit she had maintained out of tradition.

However, she couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness, as if she wasn't truly a married woman.
Nirved's distant behavior and lack of communication had taken a toll on her, making her feel like a stranger in her own marriage. She was also not in love with him but she accepted the truth.
The sindoor, which was once a symbol of love and commitment, now felt like a mere formality.
With a sense of solace, Rashita headed to the worship area to perform her daily puja.
As she chanted the arti, her emotions overwhelmed her, and tears welled up in her eyes.
The sadness and heartbreak she had been carrying seemed to surface, and for a moment, she let it all out.
But as she concluded her puja, Rashita felt a sense of calm wash over her.
She took a deep breath, composing herself, and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Despite her emotional turmoil, she poured her heart into cooking, determined to make a delicious meal.
The aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air, She had her breakfast and after that, she took her files and important documents and went to face a new battle - she had a job offer and now she was going for the interview.
As Rashita stepped outside, she saw the old man and his wife sitting in the garden. She approached them and inquired about the rent. "Uncle jii! Is flat ka rent....??" she asked politely.
The old man looked at his wife, and they exchanged a warm smile.
"Tum hamari beti jaisi ho," he said gently. "Hum tum se kiraya nahi lenge."
(You are just like our daughter, we don't take rent from you.)
Rashita's eyes welled up with tears as she heard their kind words.
She felt a deep sense of gratitude towards this elderly couple who had shown her such warmth and compassion.
"Uncle jii, aunty ji lakin Bina rent ke itna bara or well furnished flat! Mai nahi rah skti aap mujha rent bata dijya!" she began, her voice choked with emotion.
The old woman stood up and hugged Rashita tightly. "Beti, humdono ki koi beti nahi ha or ye flat new ha bus humdono itna bara building Mai akala hai, is appartment ke real Malik ne rent pe dena se mana Kiya ha isliye tum hamri beti ban ke rah sakti ho!"
she said, her voice filled with affection. Rashita eyes fill with tears as she said "thank you uncle, aunty ji!" And take their ashirwad after that she went for the interview.
Rashita felt like she had found a second family in this old couple.
Their kindness and generosity had touched her heart, and she knew she would always be grateful for their love and support.
The princess, who was once driven around in her private car by her parents, was now struggling to even catch an auto.
A auto stopped in front of her, she said "bhiya aaga tak chlyga?"
The auto driver, a kind-looking man with a warm smile, replied, "Haan, Chaliye baithiye."
Rashita hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should get in.
It was her first time asking for an auto, and she felt a bit out of her comfort zone.
But the driver's friendly demeanor put her at ease, and she finally decided to get in. After 15 minutes of navigating through the traffic, the auto stopped in front of her destination.
" Pouch gya!," the driver said.
Rashita paid the fare and thanked the driver.
As she stepped out of the auto,
Rashita's eyes widened as she gazed up at the imposing structure of
"Oberoi Enterprises. "
She took a deep breath, smoothing out her clothes and gathering her documents.
This was it - the interview for the personal lawyer position. She had prepared well, and now it was time to showcase her skills.
With confidence, Rashita walked into the building, her heels clicking on the polished floor.
rummaging through her bag for her documents. As she stepped ahead, lost in her search, she suddenly collided with someone.
Apologetic, she looked up to see none other than
Siddharth Singh oberoi, the brand ambassador and chairman of the company.

As Siddharth held Rashita in his arms.
She lost in his deep blue eyes, his chiseled features, and his black, shining hair. He looked like a Greek god.
Siddharth helped her stand properly, his hands lingering on her arms for a moment before releasing her.
"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.
Rashita nodded, still feeling a bit dazed. "Y-yes S-sir, thank you," she stuttered, her cheeks flushing.
Siddharth smiled and handed her the documents that had fallen from her bag.
"You dropped these," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Rashita took the documents, feeling a spark of electricity as their hands touched.
"Thank you sir," she said again, her voice barely above a whisper.
Rashita shake herself and focus on her interview.
After a few minutes of waiting her turn came, Rashita's eyes widened as she stepped into the conference room, and her gaze landed on the panel of interviewers.
Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Siddharth Singh oberoi seated in the middle, she had no idea about this man as chairman of the company.
Siddharth's eyes met hers, and a hint of recognition flickered across his face. Rashita's cheeks flushed as she remembered their earlier encounter.
She composed herself, took a deep breath, and walked confidently to the designated seat.
"Good morning, respected sir and mam!" she greeted the panel, trying to sound calm and composed.
Siddharth nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. The interview had begun, and Rashita was determined to make a lasting impression.
A Interviewer leaned forward, his eyes locked onto Rashita's.
"So, Rashita, what makes you think you're the right fit for the role of personal lawyer at Oberoi Enterprises?"
he asked, his voice smooth and inquiring.
Rashita took a moment to collect her thoughts before responding, "With my experience in handling complex cases and my passion for law, I believe I can bring valuable insights and expertise to your team, sir."
The interviewer's gaze held hers, his expression thoughtful.
"I see. And how do you handle high-pressure situations?"
he asked, his tone probing.
Rashita's confidence grew as she responded,
"I've dealt with tight deadlines and challenging clients in the past. I prioritise tasks, stay focused, and communicate effectively to deliver results under pressure."
The room fell silent, and Siddharth's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if searching for something more. Rashita held her ground, her answers poised and confident.
An Interviewer hinted at Siddharth to ask some questions.
Siddharth" Are you married?"
Siddharth's question caught Rashita off guard, but she replied with a hint of irritation, "Yes, sir, I am married... but I don't feel like I'm married."
Her tone was laced with a mix of frustration and sarcasm, leaving the interviewers perplexed.
The room fell silent, with Siddharth's eyes narrowing slightly as he processed her response.
The other interviewers exchanged uncomfortable glances, unsure how to react to Rashita's candid yet confusing answer.
Siddharth's expression remained serious, but a flicker of intrigue danced in his eyes.
"I see," he said, his voice neutral, "Let's move on to the next question."
The interview continued, but the atmosphere had subtly shifted, with Rashita's enigmatic response lingering in the air.
After some time, the interview ended and they said "ok Mrs, Rashita??"
Then she said "Rashita Chandarvanshi"
Interviewer= ok Rashita, thank you for the interview and you can wait for some days if you will selected we will call you.
As Rashita exited the conference room, she couldn't shake off the feeling of disappointment. She had given her best, but something about the interview didn't sit well with her. The auto ride home was quiet, with her lost in thought.
Upon arriving at the house, Rashita stepped out of the auto and paid the driver. She trudged towards the door, her feet heavy with the weight of uncertainty. She entered the house.
She placed her bag on the couch and let out a sigh, wondering if she had done enough to secure the job. The silence of the house enveloped her, and Rashita couldn't help but feel a sense of restlessness, her mind still reeling from the interview.
As Rashita stepped out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed, she shook off the lingering thoughts of the interview. She headed to the kitchen to prepare lunch, her hands moving efficiently as she chopped vegetables and cooked her meal. Meanwhile, she jotted down a list of groceries and decor items she needed to pick up.
After enjoying her lunch, Rashita accompanied her aunt on a shopping trip in the evening. The outing was a welcome distraction, and they chatted happily as they browsed through the stalls and stores. They picked up all the essentials, and Rashita even found some beautiful decorative pieces for her home.
As the evening drew to a close, they returned home, tired but content. Rashita cooked a simple yet satisfying dinner and settled in for a peaceful night's sleep, the events of the day fading into the background as she drifted off.
